Mangrove (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is an AI-powered emotional wellness companion available at themangrove.app. Mangrove is not a licensed mental health service, therapist, counselor, or medical provider. It is not a substitute for professional mental health care. Do not use Mangrove in an emergency. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or text HOME to 741741 (Crisis Text Line).
You must be at least 18 years old to use Mangrove. Mangrove is intended for adults only and is not directed to minors. By using Mangrove you represent that you are 18 or older. Mangrove is currently available to users in the United States only.
All responses in Mangrove are generated by artificial intelligence. You are not speaking with a human. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your situation. Do not rely on Mangrove for medical, legal, financial, or crisis advice.
Paid plans (Root and Thrive) are billed monthly through Stripe. Both plans include a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged until the trial period ends. You may cancel at any time before the trial ends through your account settings. Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods. Subscription prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice.

Conversation messages are processed to generate AI responses and are not permanently stored on our servers beyond what is necessary to fulfill your request. Account data (email address, subscription status) is stored securely via Supabase. We do not sell your personal information.

Mangrove is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose. AI responses may be incorrect — always verify important information with a qualified professional.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mangrove shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of Mangrove, including damages resulting from reliance on AI-generated content.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Mangrove will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Mangrove after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify subscribed users of material changes via email.
